# Advanced Quantum Mechanics — Interactive Companion

This collection accompanies the graduate *Advanced Quantum Mechanics* lecture notes. Its interactive investigations and guided readings are designed for **independent after-class study**.

## Choose how to study

**Featured investigations.** Explore the central physical questions of each chapter through exact or independently checked models, numerical figures, and worked derivations.

**All interactive experiments.** Browse every interactive numerical model in the course.

**Foundational references.** Review the mathematical and conceptual building blocks—complex amplitudes, projectors, basis changes, tensor products, density operators and occupation rules.

**Guided further reading.** Follow specific mathematical questions with external teaching resources and related experiments.

## How to use an experiment

1. Read the motivating physical question and predict a limiting case.
2. Change one parameter and observe the computed quantities.
3. Derive the formula shown on the page using the relevant lecture-note section.
4. Verify a normalization, approximation, sign convention or convergence limit.
5. Complete the self-check and follow the suggested additional investigation when useful.

Experiments provide quantitative models of their stated physical setup. The assumptions on each page identify what is held fixed and how far the model can be applied.

## Course access

Access the [public course website](https://kangqiaoliu.github.io/courses/advanced-quantum-mechanics/companion/). All experiments run in a modern browser. The [public repository](https://github.com/KangqiaoLiu/advanced-quantum-mechanics-lecture-note) provides the code and a route for reporting problems or proposing changes.
